fluffy red currants-rolls with homemade vanilla-pudding💗🥰

Those were the fluffiest thing ever🤩 found this recipe on Pinterest and had to recreate it. I picked some red currants since they grow in our garden and started baking😊


You’ll need a baking form with a diameter of 28cm

– 350g currants

Yeast dough:
– 380g flour
– 40 gram suiker
– 1 pack vanilla sugar
– 100ml lukewarm milk
– 1 pack dry yeast
– 50g molten butter
- 2 eieren
– pinch of salt

-> knead all the ingredients for at least 5min. Yeast dough needs time and love. Let it sit for 30-60 minutes.

Vanilla pudding:
– 80g cornflour
– 70g sugar
– 1 pack vanilla sugar
– 500ml milk
– 2 egg yolks
– pinch of salt

-> combine all dry ingredients. Add 10-12 tablespoons of milk to it. Heat the rest of the milk until it starts cooking. Remove the pot from the stove and mix the cornflour-mix in. Place to pot back on the stove and let it cook a little. Always stir. Fill the pudding into a bowl and add the egg yolks. Let it cool.

-> after letting the dough sit you know have to roll it out. Roll out a square with 50x30cm. Add the vanilla pudding, leave a small space of 1-2cm. Add the currants (I sugared mine). Roll the dough on the longer side and cut it. Place the rolls in the greased pan and bake at 180°C for about 30-35 minutes until golden brown.

Enjoy with or without vanilla sauce or ice cream🥰
